No, Paymend complements your current payment stack. While other processors handle your core processing, we work only with the payments they fail to convert. Paymend focused exclusively on recovering failed payments, which is complex work that processors typically under-invest in.
We do our best to keep customer friction to a minimum, with zero changes to your checkout. As the Merchant-of-Record, Paymend has an obligation to be identified in the descriptor seen in your customer's bank statement, but we will work with you to ensure that they can also identify you as the original merchant for the payment. After a payment has been successfully recovered, we send customers notification via email to inform them that a charge has been made to their account.
We handle rigorous compliance across privacy laws (CCPA and GDPR) and regional payment regulations. We are PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. We exclusively process cardholder data through certified PCI infrastructure, ensuring the highest standard of data protection.
